Man Awaiting Trial for Capitol Incident Could Be Sent Back Behind Bars for Watching Mike Lindell

Prosecutors want to send a suspected capitol rioter back to the slammer after he was released because he watched Mike Lindell’s cyber symposium.

Doug Jensen was arrested days after the incident at the Capitol after he was seen on video following a Capitol Police officer inside of the building.

After spending six months behind bars as he awaited his trial he was granted a pre-trial release. His attorney vowed that he had disavowed his previous conspiracy beliefs and would abide by the terms the court set, The Des Moines register reported.

Prosecutors say both of those statements were false. In a motion filed Thursday, they say that, despite Jensen being ordered not to access the internet or have access to his family’s internet-connected devices, a pretrial services officer caught him in his garage streaming news from a right-wing site to a wifi-enabled iPhone, to which he had the password.

Jensen reportedly falsely claimed the phone was his daughter’s, and later admitted he’d spent two days watching the Cyber Symposium, an event organized by pillow manufacturer and leading Stop the Steal advocate Mike Lindell.
